Safety Program

State Mechanical Services strives to maintain the highest standards in HVAC safety.  We feel safety is the result of careful attention to detail on all projects by our Mechanical Contractors and other individuals directly and
indirectly involved.  Our employees at all levels work diligently to carry out our safety policies.

State Mechanical Services has developed safety and prevention guidelines that are followed on all projects, regardless of size.  These guidelines are based on our knowledge of construction utilizing our vast years of experience in the industry, in cooperation with our insurance carrier.  Supervisors at all levels, along with our safety officer, enforce the safety requirements among our field personnel, as well as our subcontractors, in order to achieve the degree of safety awareness that we have come to expect.  Our safety program's primary focus is to anticipate and control the conditions and marginal safety practices which may occur as each job progresses.  Our foreman are required to attend periodic seminars to  ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

State Mechanical Services has implemented a formal Safety Incentive Program to increase each individual employee's adherence to the safety guidelines, provide positive reinforcement for those workers who remain accident free, and monetary incentives for all field employees.  As a result of these proactive safety measures, State Mechanical Services has achieved lower Experience Modification Rates (EMR) annually.
